Delhi Book Fair

Delhi Book Fair is playing a pivotal role in reiterating the might of the pen and the printed word and has come to be recognised as the biggest annual cultural event and book bonanza keenly awaited by students, teachers, scholars, authors, intellectuals, librarians and book lovers.
Delhi Book Fair has evolved over the years as a highly popular conduit to the world of books and publishers and distributors. The last edition of the Delhi book Fair attracted over three lakhs visitors from India and overseas. The ever increasing numbers of visitors and exhibitors speaks volumes of its success

A painting competition will be held for children in the age groups 5-10 years and 11-16 years on August 28, 2013, as a part of the on-going 19th Delhi Book Fair and 15th Stationery Fair.

The twin expositions were inaugurated by the CMD, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), Mrs. Rita Menon and President of the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP), Shri Sudhir Malhotra on August 23, 2013.

Entry to the ‘on-the-spot’ painting competition is between 11.30 am to 12.30 p.m., which will be restricted to the first 100 children in each category. Participants are expected to bring their own colours and drawing board, while the drawing sheets will be supplied by the organizers of the competition, the FIP.

The best entries will be judged by eminent artists, Shri Gautam Roy and Shri Pradeep Mehra. The prizes will be given away by well-known cartoonist Shri Shekhar Gurera.
